Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey in the Park a truly world-class, patient friendly hospital. Alder Hey Children’s Hospital looks after 275,000 young patients every year and has a long history of world class medical care and innovation in medical developments. Providing care in 20 specialist areas of care to our young patients including cancer, heart, brain, spinal, epilepsy, craniofacial and major trauma.
Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises money for life-saving medical equipment, state of the art technology and the enhancement of patient facilities, which is making a real difference to families every day, but we still need your support.
Our partnership with Alder Hey Children’s Charity is helping them to achieve their vision of developing their now live, world class ‘digital hospital’ through their app 'Alder Play' that is helping transform the the patient experience at Alder Hey.
Journey’s matter for our customers and they matter for the children and families of Alder Hey Children’s hospital. People prepare well for journeys when they go on holiday, but those that journey with Alder Hey often have no opportunity to prepare. The journeys that children and families undertake is often a life changing one and filled with worry and disruption, confusion and long term consequences.
For patients and families, it’s important to provide information about their hospital stay so they are able to plan their visit in advance, as well as being able to refer to this information during their time at Alder Hey. This information will be stored on the App and will be available to them whenever they should need it.
The money we raise to fund the development of the ‘hospital information’ part of the app and this will be invaluable to parents whose children are treated at Alder Hey.
