Based upon the latest information received from National Air Traffic Services, restrictions to parts of the UK airspace due to the volcanic ash cloud, including at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA), will now remain in place until 19:00 on Tuesday 20th April.

Some flights were due to operate to and from LJLA later this afternoon, however, no arriving or departing flights are now expected for the rest of the day.

Passengers due to travel should not come to the Airport and are strongly advised to contact their airline for the latest information regarding particular flights.

A further update from NATS regarding these ongoing airspace restrictions is expected at 3pm this afternoon.
