Passengers travelling from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) can now experience the great taste of popular restaurant chain ‘Frankie and Benny’s’, following the opening of their latest airport development within LJLA’s new look departure lounge – just in time for the start of the Summer holiday getaway.

The New York Italian Restaurant and Bar is one of the first new retailers to open at the Airport as part of the ongoing £12m development scheme underway since late last year, to create new and improved passenger facilities.

Located in the extended departure lounge, the 4,000 sq. ft restaurant has added to the employment levels at the Airport, creating some 35 new jobs. The instantly recognisable red neon sign and warm inviting interior is one of the first restaurants that passengers will see as they leave the new security search area and is the Airport’s first ever table-service restaurant.

In typical stateside fashion, great service at this latest Frankie & Benny’s is second to none, and nothing is too much trouble for the restaurant’s obliging and friendly staff.

Matthew Thomas, Commercial Director for Peel Airports commented, “We are really pleased to welcome TRG to LJLA with their Frankie and Benny’s restaurant. This is a fantastic addition to the portfolio of offers for passengers now choosing to fly from here, who now have the option of table service dining for the first time.

“LJLA is now one of the UK’s top 10 busiest airports. TRG have a great reputation for service excellence and by attracting a brand as strong as Frankie & Benny’s, reflects the growing attraction of LJLA for some of the UK’s top retail and catering names.”

Trish Corzine, MD of TRG Concessions, who operate Frankie & Benny’s at JLA, said: “Frankie & Benny’s is extremely popular in Merseyside and the North West. We’re excited to have this great opportunity to work with the Airport to give everyone who flies from LJLA the chance to enjoy their favourite dishes and the Frankie & Benny’s experience. Now everyone can plan a visit to Frankie and Benny’s when they fly from LJLA.”
