Summer is fast approaching and now is the time to get your summer holiday booked and sorted. The question is – where do you want to go? Whether you’re planning a family trip with the kids or a party holiday with your friends, take a look at our top 10 beach destinations for 2016 for some inspiration. In no particular order:

  1. Bodrum

When it comes to the beaches in Bodrum, it doesn’t get much better. Bitez and Gumbet are two of the most popular beaches with beautiful crystal clear water and white sand to enjoy during your stay. Perfect for sunbathing and swimming, the beaches are complimented by the fantastic shops and bars on offer just a stone’s throw away.

  1. Faro

All beaches around the Algarve’s city of Faro are incredibly beautiful – and there are plenty to choose from! Faro beach is a short distance from the airport, so if you fancy a dip in the ocean straight off the plane you won’t have far to go. Beaches in nearby towns such as Albufeira and Vilamoura are just as spectacular, and Portugal as a whole is renowned for having a brilliant nightlife.

For the most idyllic crystal clear water and soft white sand you’ve ever seen, head to Zakynthos. Arguably one of the most beautiful Greek islands, Zakynthos is famous for three things – the beaches, the nightlife and the loggerhead turtles. Pop to Laganas Beach or the beach at Vassilikos during July and August to try and catch sight of the beautiful creatures.
