What You Will Do

You will be making sure that all training records are full and completed for all learners to ensure they are effective in their role and the most important making sure training material meet the CAA Quality Assurance Framework. In this exciting role you will also look in to developing the DFT training syllabus and making sure we are always improving the standards and performances of the security team with the support of the leaders and management.

Main Responsibilities   

  • Delivery of Aviation Security GSO Courses, GSS Courses, ASM Courses, Initial and Recurrent Training, NXCT, Computer Based Training and GSAT Courses 
  • Delivery of all security training as required and ensure all certificates associated with this training are supplied to HR files 
  • Oversee and deliver On Job Training 
  • Auditing and monitoring of officers and supervisors performance 
  • Assisting with disciplinary procedures 
  • Assisting with interviews in the recruitment process

What We Expect of You  

  • Ability to meet all vetting requirements 
  • Proven background in security management; 
  • Thorough knowledge of the NASP and related directives as contained in the mandatory qualification courses; 
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; 
  • Experience of issue and conflict resolution; 
  • Ability to work under own initiative, making decisions 
  • Competent on Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint 
  • Deliver excellent customer service 
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team 

Essential 

  • Certified Instructor Number / Recognition of Competence (CIN / ROC) Numbers 
  • Teaching Qualification equivalent to Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) 
  • DFT Aviation Security Manager (ASM) Training 
  • Current RFX Certification 
  • Formal / Informal Training for Assessment 
  • Formal / Informal Training for Quality Assurance 
  • Full Driving Licence 

Desirable 

  • IQA Level 4 Qualification 

To work at any of our aviation sites, an airside pass is essential. We can provide this for you, so long as you have:  

5 years Checkable background (including employment, self-employment, career gaps, benefits and education  

Able to pass a CRC, Access NI and CTC (Counter terrorism check) as part of the airside pass application.  

Able to pass a colour-blind test
