Bunk’art: Albania has over 173,000 bunkers that were constructed during the Cold War, and some built in Tirana have been converted into art installations. In addition to the art, you can also learn about Albania’s communist past and the era in which these concrete structures were built.

Skanderbeg Square: Skanderbeg Square is the beating heart of Tirana and alongside regular cultural events that take place here, you’ll find the National History Museum of Albania, Et’hem Bey Mosque and the Clock Tower of Tirana - three of the city’s top attractions.

Krujë: Located an hour north of Tirana at the base of a mountain of the same name, the town of Krujë is the perfect day trip location from the Albanian capital. Here you’ll find a bazaar where you can shop for souvenirs, a castle with an observation deck and exhibitions detailing local history and many restaurants at which you can sample the delights of Albanian cuisine.
