Penderyn Welsh Whisky lands at LJLA
LJLA has a new product for passengers to take advantage of, following the recent arrival of Penderyn Single Malt Welsh Whisky at World Duty Free.
An emergency exercise is being staged at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) Wednesday, 16th October.
The exercise is due to commence at 9am, lasting for approximately three hours and will take place in order to test and exercise procedures within the Airport’s emergency plan which is used in the event of a full scale emergency incident at the Airport.
This is a follow on from a similar exercise staged last year that centred around a simulated collision between two aircraft at the Airport and will look at procedures in place to deal with passengers who may be injured along with their families and friends who may subsequently attend the Airport too.
It is a requirement by the Civil Aviation Authority for airports such as Liverpool to regularly test its emergency procedures and this multi-agency exercise will also involve personnel from Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, Merseyside Police, North West Regional Ambulance Service and Local Authority representatives in addition to a number of volunteers.
The Airport will however be operating ‘business as usual’ throughout the exercise and no passengers or airlines will be affected by the training taking place.
