Whilst families are already busy making plans for Christmas 2014, Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) is already thinking ahead and is pleased to announce a flight in November 2015 to Lapland for families to visit Santa ahead of celebrations for Christmas 2015.

The popular ‘Santa’s Lapland’ holiday is operated by specialist Winter tour operator Inghams, who have added Liverpool to their list of UK departure airports for their 2015 programme. They are the latest tour operator to feature a Liverpool departure following recent announcements regarding other new airlines, destinations and tour operators to operate from Liverpool over the next 12 months, allowing passengers from the City Region to fly from their local airport.

Inghams are experts at delivering award winning specialist holidays, with this year marking the operator’s 80th anniversary of running winter holidays. Their new service from Liverpool is part of a magical three day ‘Santa Break’ to Lapland.

Situated on the Arctic Circle, in Finland, Lapland is well known for its amazing nature, arctic snow and awe-inspiring Northern Lights. Seen as a perfect winter break for families, the destination offers children a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet Father Christmas and his elves, as well as a wealth of festive attractions to keep the whole family entertained, including Christmas dinner with Father Christmas, reindeer sleigh rides, snowmobile or husky safari’s, Tobbogganing, Skiing, Ice Hockey and Ice fishing.

With all this to offer, Lapland makes the ideal short break to get everyone in the mood for Christmas and whet their appetite for the winter season.

Mark Povall, Director of Air Service Development for Liverpool John Lennon Airport commented, “Whilst it’s over a year away, families plan ahead early when it comes to these popular short holidays to see Santa and his Elves in their homeland and we’re delighted to see a direct flight from Liverpool feature in the 2015 list of UK departure airports serving Lapland once again.”

“We continue to talk to a number of airlines and operators to increase the range of holiday destinations from LJLA and give the region’s holidaymakers the opportunity to be able to choose to fly from their local airport for a variety of holiday experiences.”

The tour operator is offering free child places and early booking discounts. The flight departs on Friday 27th November 2015 and can be booked via the dedicated Santa’s Lapland website: www.santaslapland.com or by phone on 01483 345 579.
