easyJet, the UK and Liverpool’s leading airline has celebrated carrying its 35 millionth passenger to and from Liverpool John Lennon Airport. In celebration of this milestone, easyJet rewarded the two lucky travellers with a pair of return flights.

The airline which now offers 30 routes from LJLA celebrated with Tjasa Franko and Fateha Khanom before they boarded their flight from Liverpool to Amsterdam yesterday.

easyJet has been serving the airport for 18 years and base 7 aircraft at the airport.

Ali Gayward, UK commercial manager for easyJet, commented:
“I am really excited to be at the airport to reward our 35 millionth passengers with a pair of flights to any destination on easyJet’s network. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate.

Andrew Cornish, CEO for Liverpool John Lennon Airport, commented:
“We have come a long way since the launch of our first easyJet flight in 1997, and since then easyJet have been integral to the growth of the airport and the City. We’re looking forward to continuing the fantastic partnership and to looking after the next 35 million customers.”
