Whether you’re looking for a family destination for a beach holiday, a romantic break in the city of Madrid or an art appreciation tour around Barcelona, Spain welcomes you with open arms. Flights from Liverpool to Spain are just shy of 3 hours, depending on where you’re traveling to, making it a short haul paradise.

Country

Spain might give you the impression that their way of life is much slower than ours, with lazy days spent enjoying the warm and tranquil climate, feasting on freshly cooked Paella, but when the sun goes down, their pulsating nightlife brings the Spanish word, ‘Fiesta’, to life. With busy tapas bars lining the coastline, music halls playing traditional Spanish classics and city bars keeping both locals and tourists energised well into the night, Spain is a vibrant holiday destination.

Evolved into one of the richest culinary capitals of Europe; Madrid’s tapas bars, restaurants and food markets will have you enjoying each and every mouthful. Playful, fierce with a passion for art, Barcelona makes a fantastic Spanish destination for art lovers. In the north of Spain, Barcelona is home to Sagrada Familia church and other modern landmarks designed by the renowned Antoni Gaudi, the city’s museums include several Roman archaeological sites. For football fans, head to Camp Nou or book tickets to an FC Barcelona match for authentic Spanish passion.

Quintessentially Spanish, Seville in the south of Spain, is famous for flamenco.  A step back in time, legend has it that Seville was founded by Hercules and its origins linked with the Tartessian civilisation. No wonder, this historic city is overlooked by its own Gothic cathedral. Make your way to one of the local bars for an intimate traditional flamenco performance.
