2023 Airport Recruitment Day

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is to once again host a Recruitment Day following the success of last year’s event, with almost 200 vacancies currently looking to be filled by a number of companies based at the Airport ahead of the busier Summer season which starts at the end of March.

The recruitment drive is taking place on Tuesday 14th February from 10am until 4pm in the terminal building, with a host of employers on hand who are based at the Airport all looking to fill mainly full time vacancies.

Anyone interested in a career at the Airport is welcome to come along and talk to representatives from each of the companies looking to recruit employees, with some employers looking to undertake interviews on the day too.

 

Which companies are looking to recruit employees and how many positions are available?

The following companies, all based at the Airport are looking to take on new employees:

Wilson James – aviation security provider, with 40 vacancies for Aviation Security Officers

Swissport – ground handling company, providing services on behalf of airlines including check in agents and baggage handlers, with 25 vacancies.

SSP – the main provider of various food and drink facilities for passengers at the airport, with 82 vacancies available for Team members, Team Leaders and Chefs working in outlets including Kissing Gate, Estuary Bar & Grill, Starbucks, Burger King, The Cabin Bar, The Beer House, Café Ritazza and The Upper Crust.

Dufry - World Duty Free – retailer operating the duty free shop with 16 vacancies for full time and part time customer service advisor and replenishment assistant roles

Synergy promotions (working alongside World Duty Free) – 2 full time and 4 part time vacancies for Synergy Promotions Consultants in the duty free retail unit.

Boots - the UK’s leading pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer, with 14 vacancies for Customer advisors

ABM - passenger assistance provider for people with disabilities, with 11 vacancies

 

How will the event be run?

Anyone interested in a career with one of the various employers looking to recruit employees is welcome to attend. No appointment is required, with visitors welcome anytime between 10am and 4pm.

Representatives will be on hand from each of the employers to have an informal chat with individuals about their company, the service they provide at the airport, the vacancies available and any relevant experience or qualifications required.

Some employers may undertake interviews for potential employees on the day too.

Do I need to bring anything with me on the day?

Whilst it’s not essential, an up to date CV will be helpful.

Where is the Recruitment Day being held?

The event will take place on the mezzanine floor above the Check-in area and on the ground floor concourse in the Airport terminal building, with a welcome desk located adjacent to the John Lennon statue. Signage will be in place to guide visitors to the event as well as Airport employees on hand to assist.

How can I travel to the Airport?

For anyone travelling by car, free parking will be available and drivers should park in the Short Stay Multi-Storey Car Park, located directly opposite the terminal building, with exit tickets available at the event.
